Great with children and other animals. Can be mischievous, but they are very intelligent and easy to train.

Not fussy or greedy.

Exercise

1.5 hours a day. American cocker spaniels love to swim. But don't like too much rough playing.

Grooming

Requires professional grooming on a regular basis. Their ears can trail in their food so they need to be cleaned everyday. Brush coat everyday and bath regularly.

Origin

An English cocker spaniel was taken to America on the Mayflower in 1620. Since then different breeding traits have separated the breeds.
