General Description

Corgis are short and low to the ground to protect them from the kicks of cattle—cow hooves fly right over their heads. The Cardigan is an affectionate and active companion that excels in herding and agility competitions.

The Cardigan Welsh Corgi is descended from the Teckel family of dogs which also produced the Dachshund. The breed is believed to have existed in Wales for over 3,000 years.
