Pug

General Description

Pugs can be stubborn but usually want to please. These are fairly laid-back dogs, not usually given to extensive barking, digging, or chewing. Pugs tend to get along well with other dogs and are sturdy enough to get along with children. They enjoy the company and can be quite affectionate.

Exercise

Your Pug will need up to an hour of exercise a day. This should include shorter walks, with extra playtime and lots of brain-stimulating activities. Several shorter walks throughout the day can help to stop them from becoming too tired or overheated, which is a great way to keep them active throughout the day.

Origin

Pugs are an ancient dog breed, with roots dating back to 400 B.C. Most historians agree that the breed originated in China, where they were bred as companion animals for the wealthy.
