Staffordshire Bull Terriers are a solid and muscular breed. They have very short, but silky, smooth hair. They can be a variety of colours.
Staffordshire Bull Terriers are an excellent family dog, and exceptionally good with children. They are a very intelligent breed and easy to train, although they must be socialised at an early age because they have a tendency to be boistrous. They are very much a part of the family and don't like being left alone.
No special requirements.
They have lots of energy and love to play. They need a good 2 hours of exercise a day.
A good brush once a week will suffice, they moult very little and are generally very clean dogs.

Staffordshire Bull Terriers became popular in the early 19th century when dog fighting was common. Although they were also used for ratting.
