Like most Golden Retrievers, Roper is a complete sweetheart, however his amiable personality goes far beyond what I would consider typical of the breed. Roper, surprisingly, is somehow protective while still incredibly gentle. He has been caught rushing to the aid of injured children, and seems to have an advanced ability to recognize emotional and physical distress from people and other animals. He has the personality traits characteristic of a service animal. He is friendly, smart, and affectionate with the occasional twinge of jealousy for when his owners show affection to another dog. Roper has a light coat with light feathering of the hind legs and chest, and a beautiful full tail. Roper will produce some top-of-the-line puppies. I am looking forward to introducing more wonderful dogs like him to new owners. Roper is fully AKC registered, I can provide a four generation certified AKC pedigree. Roper is up to date on his vaccinations, he is healthy and is given regular veterinary care.
