Seeder is a beautiful, mostly conformationally-correct bitch with all the best traits of both parent breeds. Her dam was a Rhodesian Ridgeback, her sire a standard poodle. DNA verification upon request with serious inquiry. We've had the pleasure of owning both she and her sister, whom was equally spectacular but a bit more playful. Seeder became a service dog at the tender age of 9 months. She organically began to alert on PTSD symptoms as well as seizures in her owner and with strangers. That behavior was subsequently encouraged and she took to it like a duck in water. At just over a year old, she spent 3 days at the hospital bedside of her owner with only 2 potty breaks per day and quickly became a favorite of the nurses (verification upon request). Out of the gate, she was remarkably easy to train, level-headed, calm, thoughtful, curious yet cautious, obedient, eager to please and unbelievably intelligent. She is FANTASTIC with children (whether a family member or a child/baby she just met), cats, horses, livestock generally, other dogs (has been used as a tool to train other dogs) and exhibits all of the markers of a wonderful dam. She is sweet and loving. She has been a FANTASTIC family dog, service dog and therapy dog. She tolerates anything and everything from her "human pack," regardless of how obnoxious it is to a canine. She is protective of her "pack" and wary of "outsiders" when the occasion warrants it and seeks out situations where she is in an alert and serious role. She is equal parts playful as she is watchful. True to her Rhodesian side, she very, very rarely barks, unless the occasion truly requires it. True to her poodle side, she is inquisitive and brilliant. She's just as happy to spend her days galavanting around the farm as she is curled up at the feet of a person she loves (especially kiddos!). As a trainer for a number of years, I can honestly say I've never met a dog quite like her. I'm excited to find her a perfect fit in a stud that will complement what she already brings to the table. We jokingly call her "prancer" because of her gorgeous, confident, showy gait and giggle about her other nickname... "thumper" because when she's excited, her tail sounds the alarm. Her color/coat is similar to her sire's, personality and build much more like her dam's. Minimal seasonal shedding. Currently 84 pounds, lean, tall. We are only interested in breeding her to a stud that is similar in size, temperament and has a proven record with verification of offspring. The ideal is another Rhodesian Ridgeback / Standard Poodle mix (please apply!). Open to other large breeds with similar traits. Live, natural cover only. Terms and price negotiable. Happy to travel for breeding, but nothing without owner present.
