Zuko is a purebred Japanese Akita Inu with an amazing temperament. He is a service dog that is trained to alert on specific actions, which can be explained further privately. His embark profile is at zuko877. We are currently looking to test his hips (OFA / PennHip), eyes, Amelogenesis Imperfecta/Familial Enamel Hypoplasia, and thyroid results. We will not be willing to have him procreate until all tests are finished and only if he is passing on all of them. Any bitch for him to procreate with would need to pass genetic testing, as well as the above tests. We are willing to pay for them after an initial temperament and behaviour screening. The reason we are offering him up as a stud is threefold. 1. He was rescued from Japan, so he brings a significant genetic variability to American-bred JAI's. 2. His temperament is EXTREMELY rare. He is friendly with humans and leans into them very quickly, and is affectionate. He is even more friendly with other dogs, cats, and smaller animals. He does not have same-sex aggression, and has never growled or been aggressive towards another dog. 3. His body and facial features are highly unique and rare, even for JAIs. In addition to all the required physical traits for AKC and JKC, he has a heart-shaped white patch on the back of his head. His tail curls twice in a tight corkscrew, and is tipped white. With the combination of perfect temperament and features, we want to have Zuko be a stud.
