Bast — Low-Content Wolf/German Shepherd Available for One Planned Breeding We are looking for the right German Shepherd female for one carefully planned breeding with our male, Bast. This will be his only litter, as we intend to neuter him afterward. Bast is a 110-lb German Shepherd/Wolf mix with 23.7% Gray Wolf content, verified through Embark. The remainder of his ancestry is German Shepherd Dog. The primary reason we have decided to breed Bast once is his exceptional temperament. He is intelligent, confident, affectionate, highly trainable, and an excellent family companion. Several people close to us have hoped for a puppy from him, so we have decided to consider one carefully selected pairing. About Bast: • 110 lbs • 23.7% Gray Wolf / remainder German Shepherd Dog — Embark verified • Embark Breeder DNA/health testing completed; results available • Hips and knees have been clinically evaluated by a veterinary surgeon and were reported to be in excellent condition; he does not have OFA certification • Formal board-and-train graduate • E-collar trained • Excellent, stable family temperament • Brucellosis testing will be completed immediately prior to breeding What we are looking for: We are specifically looking for an adult German Shepherd female with an excellent, stable temperament who would complement Bast well. Health, temperament and genetic compatibility are our priorities—not coat color or producing a particular appearance. We will want to review the female's health history and genetic testing before agreeing to a breeding. Both dogs must have current negative brucellosis tests prior to breeding. This is not first-come, first-served. We are looking for one appropriate female and reserve the right to decline any pairing that we don't believe is a good match. Stud arrangement: There is no cash stud fee. Our stud fee will be pick of the litter/one puppy from the resulting litter. We would also like to purchase one additional puppy from the litter for a friend. That puppy is separate from the stud fee and will be purchased from the breeder at an agreed price. A written breeding/stud agreement will be completed before breeding so that expectations and responsibilities are clear for everyone involved. Serious inquiries are welcome. We're happy to provide Bast's Embark results, additional photographs, training information and veterinary information privately.
